CPSL Newsletter, Jan. 17, 2010

The first CPSL Match of 2010 is to be on Sunday, Jan. 17. Sam Shock will be setting up four stages. This will be a handgun only match and require approximately 80 rounds of ammo. The weather shouldbe warm enough (Low 39, High 52) to avoid frostbite, but there is a chance of showers. Bring a hat to shed the rain if need be and don't be afraid to bring some gloves or handwarmers.

Expect another e-mail from me later this week as we start making some changes to help smooth some things out, mostly on the administrative side.

In the meantime, knock the frost off of the gun, grab some ammo, and I will see you Sunday,
   Sam

CPSL Newsletter, May 16, 2010
A quick reminder that we have a CPSL Match coming up this Sunday at
GGC. Clark tells me that it will be a handgun only match and that
you will need 80 - 100 rounds of ammo. Signup at 10:00. Shooting
starts about 10:30.

It has been brought to my attention that there was a great deal of
foul language flying during recent matches. CPSL and Greenville Gun
Club strive to maintain a family environment. The use of this
language is unnecessary and offensive to many. Please keep this in
mind as you will likely hear more about it at the walk-through
before the match.

I hope to see you Sunday and have a terrific shoot.

Sam

CPSL Newsletter, June 20, 2010

Shooters,

We have a CPSL Match coming up this Sunday at GGC. OK, I know
its Father's day, but the match is only half a day! This month's
match will include some fun with steel targets and I suspect there
will be someup close work on cardboard.

Temperatures are expected to stay in the 90s and there is no
end to the humidity in sight. Bring plenty to drink and I will try
have water available.

See ya Sunday at the Club,
Sam

CPSLNewsletter, July 18, 2010

The July 2010 CPSL Match is this Sunday at GGC. Registration begins
at 10:00 with the walk-through at 10:30 and shooting afterward. This
month's match will be all Pistol requiring about 80 rounds.

We have had requests for a rifle-pistol and/or shotgun-pistol match.
We hope to have one of each before the end of the year.

Please remember that the street into the Club is narrow and children
play out there. Be aware of your speed as you enter and leave so we
can continue to be good neighbors.

See you Sunday,
Sam

CPSL Newsletter, Aug. 15, 2010

The next CPSL match is coming up on Sunday, August 15 at GGC. For
those wanting shotgun exercise, the time has come. This will be a
handgun / shotgun match. Bring a box of 25 shotgun shells as well as
about 80 rounds of handgun ammo. If you don't have a suitable
shotgun, come anyway and bring 12 ga. shells. We will find a loaner
gun.

Please remember that all shotgun ammo must be lead 7 1/2 or smaller
shot size (7 1/2 to 9) and standard target velocity. No magnum or
high brass loads allowed.

Expect a hot day with a high of about 90 and a chance of
thundershowers. Be prepared for the weather and please drive
carefully and watch your speed as you enter and leave the Club.

Hope To See You Sunday,
Sam
